Project Overview
North Geelong Warriors FC is one of Victoria's most recognised football clubs, with hundreds of supporters and players across its senior and junior programs. With a proud history and a strong community, the club needed a website that reflected its professionalism and made it easier for players, supporters and sponsors to connect with everything happening at the club.
The Challenge
Despite being one of Victoria's most recognisable football clubs, the existing website didn't represented where North Geelong Warriors was heading.
Important information was difficult to find, the design felt outdated and managing content had become extremely time consuming. The club also wanted to improve the experience for prospective players, increase the visibility of sponsors and create a central hub for club news, memberships and key information.
Rather than simply refreshing the design, the goal was to create a platform that would support the club's growth for many years to come.
My Approach
Working closely with the committee, I planned and designed a completely custom website around the way the club operates.
Every page was built with a clear purpose, making information easier to access while improving the overall experience for supporters, members and new players. The site was designed to be fully responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile, allowing the club to confidently share content throughout the season.
Behind the scenes, I developed a flexible CMS that gives the committee the ability to publish news, manage sponsors and update content without relying on a developer.
